The Oakboro 4th of July Celebration is a fund raising event for Oakboro Fire & Rescue. The Oakboro Celebration Committee is the non-profit arm of the organization formed to manage the 4th of July Celebration event and related activities. All staff of the committee are volunteers. 100% of the funds raised during the event go to the general fund of the fire department and are used throughout the year to purchase equipment, apparatus, supplies, and training for the 40 active member fire department.
